DAY 1
Nairobi / Lake Nakuru
Depart on a pleasant drive to the floor of the great rift valley with it's spectacular views of the valley below to arrive at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge for lunch. Afternoon proceed on a game-viewing drive to see the millions of flamingo and a host of other bird and animal life including the 'tree climbing lions', white rhino, black rhino, leopard. Return for dinner, traditional entertainment and overnight. (L,D). 160Kms/3hours

DAY 2
Lake Nakuru / Masai Mara
Enjoy an early breakfast and depart for the famed Masai Mara with a brief visit to a Masai Manyatta to see their way of living. Continue to Mara Serena to arrive for a late lunch. Afternoon proceed on an exciting game-viewing drive. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. (B,L,D). 295Kms/6hours

DAY 3
Masai Mara
Full day in the Masai Mara with morning and afternoon game-viewing drive. All meals and overnight at Mara Serena. (B,L,D).

Optional Activity
Dawn Balloon Safari over the Mara Plains ending with a champagne breakfast.

DAY 4
Masai Mara / Serengeti
Awake early to enjoy a sumptuous breakfast before heading south towards Isebania and Sirari, the border towns of Kenya and Tanzania. We'll continue with our journey passing the Mara River as it drains into Lake Victoria and stop at a picnic site to enjoy lunch. Continue with a game-viewing drive to Serengeti Sopa to check-in at the lodge early evening. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Sopa. (B,L,D)

DAY 5
Serengeti
Full day in the Serengeti with game-viewing drives and all meals and overnight at Serengeti Sopa. (B,L,D).

Optional Activity
An opportunity to float over the Serengeti Plains with its teeming wildlife ending with a champagne breakfast.

DAY 6
Serengeti / Ngorongoro
After breakfast depart for the Oldupai Gorge where hominid footprints believed to be 3.6million years old were found. We will enjoy an on-site talk on the interpretation of the gorge by the resident guide. Proceed towards the rim of the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater stopping occasionally to admire the breath-taking vista unfolding before you to arrive at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge for lunch. This afternoon just relax and enjoy the panoramic views of the crater OR for the more energetic who may want to take an optional escorted nature walk along the rim of the crater learning about the flora & fauna of this dormant collapsed volcano. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge.
The Lodge is built into the rim of a huge caldera (collapsed volcano) with balcony in every room providing spectacular view of the crater floor. Full Board.
Warm jacket/cardigan is highly recommended.

DAY 7
Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast descend some 600metres into the crater, which is home to an abundance of wildlife and a photogenic paradise, for a full day's game-viewing drive.

We will enjoy lunch at a picnic site by the crater lake teeming with hippo's. Return to the lodge late afternoon with a welcome cup of tea or coffee and a variety of cookies. (B,L,D).

DAY 8
Ngorongoro / Lake Manyara
After breakfast depart for Lake Manyara which is a short distance away. Our full board accommodation is at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge which is set on the edge of the Mto Wa Mbu escarpment overlooking the Great Rift Valley and the stunning Manyara soda lake. At 4pm proceed on a cultural walk in the village of 'Mto wa Mbu' OR if you still wish to view more wildlife depart on yet another game-viewing drive in Manyara National Park. Dinner & overnight at Lake Manyara Serena. (B,L,D). 60Kms/1.5hours
(The cultural walk, we believe, is the finale of this trip. The village is not commercially set-up for the tourist but it is a normal village where our guests have the opportunity to walk about, talk to & visit the homes of the inhabitants of this village escorted by a professional guide. Part of the proceeds from this walk goes towards the welfare of the community living in the village, for example: building or improving health, education & water facilities)

DAY 9
Lake Manyara / Arusha / Nairobi
After breakfast drive to Arusha for lunch and continue to Nairobi to arrive approx. 6 p.m. (B,L).
